We simply can’t practice being kind to ourselves enough. No matter how hard we try, it’s a practice that needs to be utilized over and over.

The “Be Kind To Yourself” Challenge is one challenge that will probably get a lot of love over the next few months and years.

Here are today’s three exercises. Choose one or all three.

MINI CHALLENGE – Should only take a minute!

How do you answer the question, “Tell me about yourself.”?

Sure, in a job interview, we can generally manage to share some inspiring things we have done, followed by our greatest attributes. However, are these types of answers the ones you tell to the people you don’t need to impress?

Take a few minutes to think about a positive, inspiring, strong, and powerful way to describe yourself.

INSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGE – Can take 5 minutes to a hour, depending on how creative you get.

  • Think about the description you came up for yourself in the Mini Challenge.
  • Visit  www.publicdomainpictures.net and enter one of those words into the search bar to see what types of images appear.
  • Then share your favorite with the community.

POWER CHALLENGE – Keeps you focused on positive all day long.

Look in your mirror. Look yourself in the eye. Say “I AM ….’insert word from list above’…”

“I AM beautiful.” “I AM inspiring.” “I AM strong.”

When you use a statement starting with “I AM”, you are announcing yourself to the world. You are reminding yourself you are an influence in your world. If your “I AM” statement isn’t positive, it’s likely your self image isn’t either.

If you are like most of us, you probably look in the mirror more than once a day. Every time you see your face today, remind yourself of one of the attributes above.

If you start to feel yourself getting negative, remind yourself about the positive qualities you have.

By the end of the day, you just might start believing you are.
